Well, it depends. If you are an iPhone user, you have absolutely nothing to fear, FaceApp can only take the picture you select no more. The FaceApp doesn’t force you to register, you can simply give it the same information you have on your Facebook account, using Facebook AccountKit SDK, and also Google Firebase SDK.
If you trust Facebook and Google, you gotta trust FaceApp, comparing the numbers of permissions that Facebook and Instagram have on your phone to the two permissions that FaceApp has access to.
